Miami Man Expo, Packet Pickup & Bike Check-In - Saturday, November 7, 2009 - 10am to 4pm
* Packet Pickup & Bike Check-in - Due to the size of the event,
there can be NO RACE DAY PACKET PICKUP-NO EXCEPTIONS
! Please bring your bikes on Saturday for check-in.
* Vendor Expo - Come find some sweet deals on triathlon merchandise
*Bikes are to be checked in at the Expo
12:15pm to 3:30pm - Swim practice in the lake including a
Profile Design Wetsuit Demo hosted by Mack Cycle and a FREE video swim stroke
analysis by the Stroke Doctor Gary Fahey. **THE LAKE
WILL BE GUARDED SO YOU MUST START FROM THE BEACH ONLY AND STAY WITHIN THE
PROTECTED AREA! Follow the signs to the start. You will not be able
to swim the entire course!
11am, 1pm, 3pm- Pre-Race Clinic and Q&A Session
- This clinic is hosted by Marty Frezza, Miami Man Finisher and 7 time Kona
finisher. Head USAT Race Official Steve Waldman will also go over the
most commonly violated rules and how to avoid getting a penalty. BodyZen
Coach Erinne Zohlman will go over training, nutrition, and last minute racing
tips. *This clinic is mandatory for anyone doing the
Miami Man for the first time and highly recommended to everyone.

6:45am - Half Iron Pre-race instructions at the beach
7:00am - Half Iron Triathlon Begins (see wave
schedule below)
7:45am - International Pre-race instructions at the beach
8:00am - International Triathlon Begins (see wave
schedule below)
9:10am - Swim Course Closes
10:12am - Halfway Point on 1/2 Iron
Bike Course Closes *Participants will not be allowed to start
a 2nd lap after this time. Anyone unable to start the 2nd lap will be
allowed to return to transition on their bike and complete the run, however
they will be disqualified from the final results for not completing the entire
course.
12:02pm - Bike Course Closes - If anyone remains on the
bike course after this point, they may elect to be picked up or to continue,
but following all traffic control devices (stop signs, stop lights, etc.)*
1:30pm - Awards ceremony for International at the stage near
the finish line.
1:44pm - No starting of run lap #2 after this time.*
1:52pm - Back gate to Metro Zoo closes. This will be mile 7 on
the run course.*
3:00pm - Awards ceremony for Half Iron at the stage near the
finish line.
3:32pm - Run course closes.
*If you are concerned that you might not be able to make these cutoffs, please contact race management at info@multirace.com at least 1 week prior to the event and we will make special accomodations for you.
