ACCOMODATIONS

Miami is a major tourist destination, so there are no shortages of hotels in the city.  The event takes place in the southwestern part of the county, so there are only 10-15 hotels within a 10 mile radius and none are large enough to handle all 2000 room nights by themselves that the event generates.  We have personally toured all of them and spoken to the managers to get you the best deal.  Some were great and others really stunk!  Below we have listed the top 5, in order of preference.  You will receive great customer service at all of these hotels and we have listed a personal contact for each if your stay is anything but wonderful.  If you want to be in one of these hotels, then we highly suggest that you book early, especially for #1 as it is the closest by far and will definitely sell out.

*Closest hotel to the race site. The only hotel within a 5 mile radius of the zoo and is walking/riding distance to the race site. Brand new hotel, opened October 19, 2007. Larger rooms than regular Holiday Express Hotels by 25 sft. Heated Pool. Putting green instead of landscape in front. Gym. Free Full Breakfast every morning. Will open breakfast early morning of the race so participants can have breakfast in hotel before the race. Excellent service. Next to Dadeland Mall and plenty of restaurants with complimentary shuttle to the Mall. Metro Rail stop right inside the hotel. Pool and exercise room. If you are planning to stay a few days longer to visit Miami attractions this would be a great hotel since you can use Metro Rail transportation to a lot of tourist destinations. Publix supermarket right next to the hotel.
