Spectators:
This is a very family friendly event. Spectators can watch the swim from a great spot along the nearly 1 mile edge of the lake. There is even a children's playground right next to the finish line! Afterwards, they can go on over to MetroZoo to check out one of the nations best zoos while they cheer on competitors who are on the run course. Metrozoo will be providing a tram service to transport people back and forth to the zoo. The tram runs every 90 minutes from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., see schedule below. The zoo is open from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Admission discounts may be available, just ask the tram driver. Go to www.miamimetrozoo.com for more information on the zoo.

NO DOGS:
Miami-Dade County Parks have a strict rule regarding pets. They are not allowed in the park! If you are found in violation of this rule, you will be fined $100, so please leave Fido at home.
Parking:
Due to the large volume of participants (1700+) in this event, there is no spectator parking at Larry & Penny Thompson Park. Spectator parking is available at Miami Metrozoo. Spectators must carpool with participants if they wish to watch the swim portion of the race as the first tram from Miami Metrozoo is after the swim has finished. Foot traffic is not allowed on the tram path and it is too far to go around on foot.
Another great option is to become a race volunteer! This will get you VIP parking and an up close and personal view of the event that is unavailable to regular spectators. Plus, it is a lot of fun! Email volunteer@multirace.com if you are interested in volunteering for this or any other Multirace.com event.
Staff & Volunteers that need to park at Larry & Penny will receive special passes.
If you are racing with friends, please carpool!!!
